New drugs from Germany

German industrial laboratories have been involved in the discovery of a whole range of drugs that have come onto the market in recent years: either the active ingredient was discovered in Germany or its pharmaceutical form was developed in German laboratories or even both took place in laboratories here.

The following map gives examples of these drugs listed by their active ingredient, and indicates some of the treatments they are used for. In addition, it shows the locations where these drugs have been developed.

The map shows drugs that have been approved since 2008. Status: February 2018
